Senior/Principal Transport Engineer | Leicester
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior or Principal Transport Engineer. This role offers the chance to build and lead your own team, making it an excellent next step for a driven professional looking to progress their career.
Key responsibilities include:
* Managing multiple transport planning projects from inception to delivery
* Producing high-quality Transport Statements, Transport Assessments and supporting documentation
* Undertaking complex junction analysis and providing clear, practical recommendations
* Maintaining strong client relationships and representing the business at meetings
* Liaising with local highway authorities, planners, architects and project teams
* Supporting and mentoring junior team members as the team grows
About You
You will ideally have:
* BEng or MEng in Civil Engineering or equivalent
* Minimum 5 years post-graduate experience in transport planning or highways
* Chartered status or working towards chartership (ICE, CIHT or TPP)
* Strong knowledge of national and local transport policy and guidance
* Experience using relevant transport and traffic modelling software
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* A collaborative mindset with proven or emerging leadership ability
* Full UK driving licence and access to your own transport
