Security Clearance: Active SC clearance required (with eligibility for higher clearance)
Role OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Interim Security Advisor to support a Corporate Security function within a regulated, Critical National Infrastructure environment. The role provides specialist guidance on physical and protective security, ensuringpliance with UK legislation, regulatory obligations, andernment security requirements. You will work closely with internal teams, partners, and external authorities to deliver security programmes that protect people, assets, and operations.
Key Responsibilities• Support audits, security risk management, and ongoing security operations.
• Provide security advice and guidance across the organisation, partners, and contractors.
• Lead and support physical and protective security programmes and initiatives.
• Ensurepliance with applicable legislation, regulatory, and corporate security policies.
• Contribute to the development and deployment of security policies and standards.
• Support counter‑terrorism, crime prevention, and protective security strategies.
• Engage withernment departments, law enforcement, and industry bodies as required.
Essential Experience & Skills• Proven experience in a Security Advisor or similar role within a large, regulated environment.
• Strong background in physical, personnel, and protective security.
• Experience working with UKernment departments and law enforcement agencies.
• Prior experience in Critical National Infrastructure (CNI) environments.
• Demonstrated ability to design, implement, and manage security programmes.
• Strong stakeholder engagement, leadership, and influencing skills.
• Experience handlingernment‑marked or sensitive information.
Desirable• Security‑related certifications or formalernment security training.
