About The Role
The role is in the Solar Technical team, supporting preventive and corrective maintenance across a portfolio of utility‑scale solar assets in the Buckinghamshire / Bedfordshire area. The position is home‑based but requires daily travel within the region and occasional trips elsewhere in the UK.
What You Will Do
* Understand the company’s detailed obligations for your assigned sites and ensure, monitor, and report compliance.
* Be aware of HSE issues, report on‑site incidents to the Regional Manager and HSE Manager, and implement necessary improvements.
* Perform scheduled and corrective maintenance (including HV) to keep plants operating successfully.
* Take primary responsibility for plant performance, work quality, and site appearance (electrical, landscaping, etc.).
* Maintain regular contact with the Regional Manager and O&M coordinator to coordinate site works effectively and seek guidance.
* Work with other Site Technicians to resolve work tickets and provide timely, comprehensive information to the Asset Manager, O&M coordinator, or Regional Manager.
* Liaise with internal and external parties such as in‑house LV, HV and Ground maintenance teams, subcontractors, and other third parties.
* Participate in all required training and development.
* Participate in the company’s on‑call rota for non‑working hours, including bank holidays and weekends.
What you bring
* C&G 2330 level 2/3 or equivalent.
* C&G BS7671 17th/18th edition.
* Computer literate.
* Self‑motivated and able to work independently.
* Team player.
* Full UK driving licence.
* Attention to detail (desirable).
* HV qualifications AP15 or OP40 or equivalent and a personal switching log (desirable).
* Qualifications or training in PV inverter technologies, communications or networking, IOSH or NEBOSH (desirable).
* Experience working on ground‑mounted solar farms.
