The Role
NHS Lanarkshire is looking to recruit a Clinical Support Worker based within the Oncology Day Unit within University Hospital Monklands.
The Clinical Support Worker, as part of a multidisciplinary team, will carry out care duties for patients, in support of a registered nurse, and will regularly work unsupervised and will carry out assigned duties to maintain hygiene, order and safety within the ward environment.
Duties may vary with the type of ward/department and the degree of patient dependency.

What we'll need you to bring
1. Working knowledge of basic information technology
2. SVQ III in healthcare, or working towards, or equivalent experience working within a caring environment/role.
3. Ability to work with people and as part of a multidisciplinary/agency team.
4. Effective written and verbal communication skills.
5. Ability to carry out assigned patient care tasks effectively within a busy environment.
6. Ability to work unsupervised.
7. To actively participate in the Personal Development Plan process to fulfil the requirements of continuing professional development.
8. Car Driver with a full, valid UK/EU/EEA drivers licence
Please note for all vacancies where a driving licence is required this must be a full UK/EU/EEA licence.

9. Competent in performing venepuncture and Venesection
10. Knowledge of Haemochromatosis and Polycythaemia

The working pattern for this role: Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm
