A leading IT services organisation is seeking a Senior Software Developer with strong experience in IBM Operational Decision Manager (ODM) to support the delivery of decision-driven applications within a large, complex healthcare environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on developer to play a key role in designing and implementing rule-based solutions that support critical operational decision-making.
The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for building and configuring decision services, working closely with architects and business analysts to deliver scalable and maintainable solutions.
Key responsibilities include:
* Developing and maintaining decision services using IBM ODM
* Translating business requirements into business rules and decision logic
* Designing and implementing rule flows and rule sets
* Integrating decision services with wider application and workflow components
* Supporting testing, troubleshooting, and optimisation of rule-based systems
* Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end solutions
Skills & Experience
* Strong hands-on experience with IBM Operational Decision Manager (ODM)
* Proven experience building and managing business rules and decision services
* Understanding of integration with workflow/process-based systems (e.g. BAW/BPM)
* Experience working within structured delivery environments (e.g. Agile)
* Ability to work independently and take ownership of deliverables
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Experience in healthcare or regulated environments is advantageous
Contract Details
* Initial 6-month contract
* Outside IR35
* Fully remote (UK-based)
* Immediate start preferred
