About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Systems Administrator with strong hands-on expertise across Microsoft cloud and on-prem technologies, endpoint management, and security platforms. This role is responsible for the day-to-day administration, security, and optimisation of the organisation’s IT infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance, and compliance.
The successful candidate will take ownership of various platforms such as but not limited to - Office 365 and SharePoint 2019 environments, manage identity and access through Azure AD, and implement and maintain Intune, MDM policies, and Conditional Access to secure users and devices. You will play a key role in endpoint and mobile device management, including Apple Business Manager, ensuring seamless onboarding, configuration, and lifecycle management of both Windows and Apple devices.
Security is a core focus of this role. You will be responsible for administering Sophos Central, monitoring threats, implementing best-practice security controls, and responding to incidents as required. Working closely with stakeholders, you will help design and enforce policies that protect systems, data, and users while maintaining a positive end-user experience.
In addition to project and operational responsibilities, the role provides up to 3rd line end-user support, acting as an escalation point for complex technical issues. You will troubleshoot across multiple platforms, mentor junior IT staff where appropriate, and contribute to documentation and continuous improvement of IT processes.
Key responsibilities include:
• Administration and support of Office 365, SharePoint 2019, Entra ID, Intune, Hardware Setup and Config.
• Managing Conditional Access, MDM, and identity security policies
• Endpoint and device management, including Apple Business Manager
• Security administration and incident response via Sophos Central
• Providing 3rd line technical support and problem resolution
• Ensuring stability, performance, and security of the internal IT environment

As Systems Administrator for Hexagon Care Services, you will need to have:
12. 2 years’ experience of working in a similar role gaining demonstrable technical experience
13. Significant experience working in an Azure / O365 environment
14. Demonstrated proficiency in administering Office 365, SharePoint 2019, Azure AD, Intune, and other relevant technologies
15. Experience implementing security measures such as Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), conditional access policies, and endpoint protection
16. Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to resolve technical issues independently
17. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment
18. Full clean driving licence with access to own vehicle (essential user allowance of 45p per mile)

Whilst this role is not in regulated activity, the nature of the work we do means a basic DBS will be required for the role. We will fund and process the DBS for the successful applicant.
