We require a nursing auxiliary with a genuine interest in stroke care to join our team. Ward 42 is a busy medical Acute stroke unit with a commitment to multidisciplinary team working. We specialise in caring for patients with Stroke, who have a wide range of needs from mobility to modified diets.
You should be able to work using your own initiative and have an active interest in developing your knowledge further in stroke to provide specialist patient centred care.
Experience in stroke is essential for this role. Good communication skills are essential.
Hours will be worked to suit the needs of the service.
If successful in your application, you will be offered the opportunity to undertake an SVQ2 or SVQ3 (dependent on band) in Health and Social Care, approximately 9 months after taking up post. It is expected that you complete this qualification, which will be fully funded by NHS Fife. Your Line Manager will provide you with more information once you are in post.

As from 1/4/26, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will be reducing from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part time hours will be reduced pro‑rata. However, there will be a corresponding increase in the hourly rate so that pay will not be affected.
