The service is county wide and therefore candidates will be expected to work across other locality areas as needed to meet service demand. We promote flexible working, with options to work remotely from various bases and from home, depending on what best supports service delivery. The post holders will be required to chair complex meetings across North Yorkshire as needed, with in-person meetings with children and their families.

In North Yorkshire, IROs are responsible for chairing reviews, overseeing care plans, chairing Child Protection Conferences, conducting Regulation 44 visits, and annual reviews for foster carers. You will have a vital role in quality assurance and improving outcomes for children and young people.
Applicants must be qualified Social Workers, hold a Diploma in Social Work (or equivalent), and be registered with Social Work England.
