Overview
The Finance Director will be a key member of the leadership team, responsible for overseeing all financial operations and contributing to strategic decision-making. You will ensure robust financial planning, accurate reporting, and efficient capital allocation to support our growth ambitions.
Finance is currently a standalone function, and we're looking for someone who can take ownership of both the day-to-day responsibilities—such as credit control—and the bigger picture. This is a hands-on position within a fast-paced, high-growth SaaS environment, requiring a balance of strategic thinking and practical execution.
Experience within a SaaS business is an essential requirement for this role.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Strategy & Leadership
· Partner with the CEO and leadership team to develop and execute the company's financial strategy.
· Provide insight and recommendations to shape business plans, pricing models, and long-term growth initiatives.
· Monitor SaaS-specific KPIs such as ARR, MRR, CAC, LTV, churn, and gross margin.
Financial Planning & Analysis
· Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management processes.
· Develop financial models to evaluate growth initiatives, product investments, and market expansion opportunities.
· Perform scenario analysis and sensitivity testing for strategic decision-making.
Accounting & Compliance
· Oversee all accounting, payroll, tax, and statutory reporting functions, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and standards.
· Maintain and improve internal controls, processes, and financial systems.
· Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies.
Cash Flow & Risk Management
· Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure financial stability and liquidity.
· Assess financial risks and implement measures to mitigate potential challenges.
· Develop strategies to optimise financial resources and manage investments effectively.
Process Improvement & Financial Strategy
· Implement and improve financial processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
· Provide financial advice and recommendations to support business decision-making.
· Work closely with other departments to ensure financial strategies align with operational needs.
· Utilise financial data to support business expansion and investment decisions.
Required Skills & Experience
· Proven experience in financial management, accounting, at a director level
· Strong understanding of financial principles, budgeting, and forecasting.
· Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Xero and Maxio.
· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
· Strong communication skills to convey financial insights to stakeholders.
· Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements.
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
· Professional qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, or CPA.
· Experience in a technology or cybersecurity company.
· Knowledge of financial risk management strategies.
