Electronic and Electrical Support Engineer - Permanent

An Electronic and Electrical Support Engineer is required within an advanced Space and Defence services organisation. The successful candidate will be an experienced engineer working on technical Space and Defence projects, shaping the future of Space and Defence engineering.
The role involves facilitating Space and Defence engineering activities, requiring experience with systems assembly, integration, and testing. The engineer will collaborate with subject matter experts in a dynamic and growth-focused environment.
Note: Due to the nature of the products and platforms involved, this is a fully onsite role with no hybrid options.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Design and specification support for systems such as electronic propulsion, radio frequency, and central systems.
2. Aligning design with requirement engineering processes, including traceability and compliance matrices, considering customer requirements.
3. Reviewing supplier documentation and generating RID during tender phases or formal reviews.
4. Supporting major customer review processes.
5. Producing technical documentation such as design reports, user manuals, and test procedures.
6. Oversight of manufacturing processes for platform systems, including procurement and prioritization.
7. Validation and certification for use in systems facilities.
8. Providing first-level support for the systems facility, including commissioning hardware, developing procedures, and training.
Skills, Qualifications, and Experience:
1. A degree in engineering, preferably with an electrical or electronics systems background. Equivalent experience may be considered.
2. Strong industrial background related to Space and Defence is preferred.
3. Solid understanding of technical challenges in this field.
4. Hands-on engineering passion with problem-solving skills.
5. Knowledge of Space and Defence systems engineering and complex platforms.
6. Experience in customer-facing roles and business development is advantageous.
