Axcis Education is working in partnership with a welcoming primary school in Bristol to recruit a full-time Teaching Assistant for their dedicated resource base, starting mid-January. This specialist provision supports pupils with a range of special educational needs, including Autism, communication difficulties and learning needs. About the Role As a Teaching Assistant within the resource base, you will: •Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with complex SEND needs. •Support learning activities that develop pupils’ communication, social and academic skills. •Assist with the delivery and monitoring of EHCP targets. •Help pupils manage transitions, emotional regulation and daily routines within a calm, nurturing environment. •Work closely with a skilled and collaborative team of teachers and SEND professionals. The Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who: •Has experience supporting children with SEND, particularly Autism or communication difficulties. •Is patient, empathetic and passionate about inclusive education. •Can adapt their approach to meet the individual needs of each child. •Holds relevant qualifications such as Level 2 or 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning (desirable but not essential).
