Medical Van Driver
Hours: Part time, 15 weekly hours
Location: Euxton Hall Hospital, Chorley
Shift Patterns: 2 days a week
The role:
We are looking for a Part-Time Medical Van Driver to join our team at Euxton Hall Hospital.
As a driver at Ramsay Healthcare, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless transportation of pathology samples, medical supplies, and equipment between our three key sites in the Chorley/Preston region.
The start/end of day point for this role is at Fulwood Hall Hospital.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Transporting pathology samples, medical supplies, and surgical kits safely and efficiently between Euxton Hall Hospital, Fulwood Hall, Buckshaw Hospital, Lancashire teaching Hospitals, and other hospitals as required.
2. Ensuring that all transportation schedules are adhered to, coordinating with medical and administrative staff to plan efficient routes.
3. Maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of hospital vehicles, conducting regular inspections, and reporting any issues promptly.
4. Ensuring all transported items are handled with the utmost care and comply with relevant safety and handling regulations.
5. Delivering medical supplies and equipment between different departments within each hospital as required.
6. Ensuring compliance with all road safety regulations and hospital policies.
7. Recording mileage, fuel consumption, and other relevant data to ensure accurate reporting.
8. Providing excellent customer service, addressing any queries from hospital staff, and ensuring the smooth transit of all items.
9. Supporting the hospital staff with other logistical tasks as needed, contributing to the seamless operation of hospital services.
