We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Dietitian to join our team, supporting the Surgical Bariatric Service. This is a fixed-term contract to cover a secondment, and previous bariatric experience is essential. The post is primarily outpatient-based, involving a mix of clinics and group sessions to support patients through Tier 4 complex obesity services. You will be well supported within a highly established bariatric surgery team, including exceptional leadership from the Advanced Clinical Practitioner in Bariatric Surgery, who is also a Specialist Dietitian. We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Dietitian with excellent communication and leadership skills, and the ability to work effectively as part of a well-established multidisciplinary team (MDT). Applications for this role at Band 6 level will be considered depending on experience. Applicants must hold current HCPC registration. Base Location: Royal Bournemouth Hospital Interview Date: 5th March Main duties of the job You will be a member of the UHD Dietetics Department, which consists of 25+ dietitians working across Bournemouth, Poole and Christchurch Hospitals within a variety of specialties that include Diabetes, Paediatrics and Oncology. The role will involve training of more junior staff and student dietitians. Working for our organisation UHD are investing, developing and transforming Trust services in line with the New Hospital Programme. As part of this, some services may move site this year or next, either temporarily or permanently. Recruiting Managers will be happy to answer any service-specific questions at interview. If a role or service relocates as part of a planned move, excess mileage will not be reimbursed. Travel from home to the new work base will be classed as a normal commute.
