Thomas Telford UTC is looking for inspirational staff to help shape an innovative approach to education. The UTC is located in a brand new, purpose-built building in Wolverhampton city centre at the Springfield Campus, part of a £100 million regeneration project to form a national centre of excellence for Architecture and the Built Environment.
Role
We are looking for an Attendance/Welfare Officer who will be an integral member of our support staff to join us as soon as possible. This post is a pivotal role in ensuring and maintaining the school’s very high standards of attendance, which are above the national average. You will be a positive and proactive individual and a team player, who responds well to the unique challenges and changing environment of our school.
Experience of administration or attendance would be an advantage, but full training will be given. The UTC offers a friendly environment, with Performance Related Pay, access to the fitness suite and free tea/coffee and fruit.
Responsibilities
* Support the attendance and welfare of students to help maintain high attendance standards.
* Collaborate with staff to address attendance issues and promote a positive school culture.
* Contribute to safeguarding and welfare activities as part of the school team.
* Assist with administrative tasks related to attendance and pupil wellbeing as required.
Qualifications and Benefits
* Experience of administration/attendance is an advantage; full training will be provided.
* Salary £25,976 - £27,500 (£22,318 - £23,627 Pro Rata), dependent on experience.
* Term time only – 39 weeks (38 weeks plus 5 Inset days).
* Usual daily working hours total 36.5 hours per week: Monday to Friday, with specific start and end times as per the role.
* Performance Related Pay, access to the fitness suite, and complimentary tea/coffee and fruit.
