Job Overview
The Quality Improvement Manager (QIM) will play a key strategic and operational role within the Education and Learning Service, reporting to the Executive Manager – Education and Learning / Chief Education Officer. The postholder will provide leadership and direction to the Quality Improvement Officers (QIOs) and Education Support Officers (ESOs), ensuring a coherent, consistent and strategic approach to quality assurance and improvement across all education sectors, including Early Learning and Childcare, Primary, Secondary and Inclusion.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the Executive Manager – Education and Learning / Chief Education Officer in delivering national and local priorities.
* Provide professional leadership to drive continuous improvement across schools and settings.
* Act as a key liaison between strategic leadership and operational delivery.
* Deputise for the Executive Manager – Education and Learning / Chief Education Officer on quality improvement matters as required.
Additional Information
* The grade of this post is Quality Improvement Manager.
* Salary shown in the advert is inclusive of Distant Islands Allowance of £2,859 per annum (pro rata).
* Permanent Full Time post for 35.0 Hours per Week, 52.18 weeks per year.
* Preferred candidates will be required to join the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update prior to a formal offer of employment being made.
* You must be registered with the General Teaching Council for Scotland (GTCS) prior to starting in post.
* Politically Restricted Post – designated under the Local Democracy, Economic Development and Construction Act 2009; the postholder is restricted as to the undertaking of political activity.
* A relocation package applies to this post.
