Salary: £160-£220 per day (dependent on experience)
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 4:00pm

Role Summary
The successful candidate will teach English Language and Literature across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to teach Key Stage 5 for suitably experienced applicants. You will be responsible for engaging students with a broad and stimulating curriculum that develops literacy, analytical thinking, and a lifelong appreciation of literature.
Key Duties
Deliver high-quality English lessons that meet the needs of all learners
Monitor student performance and use assessment data to inform teaching
Support pupils in achieving strong GCSE outcomes
Encourage critical thinking, reading for pleasure, and written expression
Uphold high standards of behaviour and classroom management
Contribute to departmental planning and curriculum development
Person Specification
The ideal candidate will:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Have experience teaching English within a secondary school setting
Demonstrate strong subject knowledge in both Language and Literature
Be committed to improving student outcomes and engagement
Have excellent organisational and communication skills
Work effectively as part of a supportive and collaborative team
Essential Criteria
Right to work in the UK
Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
Two recent professional references relating to working with young people
