Salary - £65,000 / £70,000 + Bonus
Location - Bath/Hybrid
We’re seeking a Lead Front-End Engineer to guide a small team, champion technical excellence, and support their professional growth. You’ll collaborate across disciplines to deliver outstanding digital work, combining hands-on problem solving with strategic thinking, and continuously improving how the team operates.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and mentor Front End engineers (remaining hands on)
* Shape technical approaches across projects
* Improve processes and ways of working
* Contribute to planning, estimation, pitches, and RFPs
* Participate in client workshops and hiring
* Collaborate with senior leaders on team direction
What You’ll Bring
* Strong technical leadership and mentoring experience
* Deep expertise in ES6+, React, JavaScript, TypeScript
* Experience in fast-paced delivery environments
* Strong commercial awareness and strategic thinking
* Accessibility best practice knowledge
* Familiarity with Agile, Git, testing practices, and API integrations
* A passion for learning, collaboration, and modern web technologies
Nice to Have
* Experience with React Native, Node.js, GraphQL
