Black Country Womens Aid (BCWA) is an established charity working across the Black Country and wider West Midlands, providing accommodation and community support services to victims of domestic abuse, sexual abuse and human trafficking. Services range from advocacy, civil remedies, support in court, individual and group support and access to a range of therapeutic interventions. All services are client and needs‑led.

Within this directorate, the following vital services are delivered:

Position
The Domestic Abuse Practitioner (maternity cover) is a 12‑month part‑time position (22.5 hours, days negotiable) based in Dudley. Salary is £14,586.02 – £17,483.45 pro‑rata (unqualified – qualified) or £24,310.04 – £29,139.08 FTE. Closing date 12 November 2025. All interviews will be held via Microsoft Teams.

We are looking for someone with experience supporting survivors of domestic abuse, managing a caseload and understanding safeguarding principles for children and adults. The role holder must have a good understanding of the dynamics of domestic abuse and its impact on victims.
Role
The Domestic Abuse Practitioner will work within the family safeguarding team, focusing on providing support to victims of domestic abuse referred from Childrens services, specifically those on child in need and child protection plans.
