Assistant Headteacher (full time and permanent)

We are seeking to appoint an outstanding teacher who has extensive middle leadership experience and is passionate about working within the field of Additional Learning Needs (ALN) and Challenging Behaviour. The successful individual will need to be ready to embrace the ever changing and challenging field of leadership. This position will be located in our Satellite Unit in Ystradgynlais overseeing our unit which currently has 10 learners and 7 staff.
There will be an expectation for the individual to work at the main school in Kerry, Newtown for a period of time when appointed to understand how Brynllywarch supports the learners and the role will involve visits to Main School in Newtown on a half-termly basis.
The successful candidate will need to be motivated, innovative, flexible and have a proven track record of working with children with a wide range of complex needs. The candidate will have a passion for developing and extending potential in both our pupils and staff team by recognising and nurturing individual qualities and strengths including promoting a collaborative can do approach.
