We are recruiting on behalf of a small animal practice in Romsey, Hampshire for a Permanent Senior Veterinary Surgeon to join their team. This role is full or part time with shifts between 8am and 7pm on a 5-week rolling rota, along with 1 in 5 Saturdays. The shift patterns will either be 40 hours over 4 days, 33 hours over 3 days, 12 hours over 2 days, or 6 hours over 1 day. role. There will be no OOH work or on-call duties.

The role
14. The role offers a mixture of consultations and surgeries.
15. There are varied consulting times within he day which is 15 minutes and the practice ensures that there is time allocated for admin. Normally the Vet will be in surgery one day per week.
16. The role offers ongoing support for Vets who are either looking to study towards certifications or someone who is looking for career development.

18. The Vet will be responsible for providing a high standard of veterinary care and customer service.
19. The Vet will be responsible to ensuring that there is excellent communication between themselves and the team and with clients.
Responsibilities
20. Rota and Diary management
21. Clinical work alongside other Vets.
22. Taking leadership of the team and support less experienced vets and identify training needs.
23. Work closely alongside the practice manager, contribute ideas to improve practice and team performance. Support new projects.

25. First opinion practice with 6 Vets, 7 RVNs, 1 SVN and 1 ACA.

27. The practice is fully equipped offering a wide range of diagnostics and veterinary services including equipment for dental suite, K Laser, in house lab, ultrasound, dental and digital x-ray and endoscopy.

40. Salary: Up to £70, pro rata, commensurate to experience
