Due to a period of sustained growth Kendall Kingscott, part of the RSK Group is looking to strengthen the Finance team to support the business. Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, you'll be their right hand, supporting strategic decisions and ensuring the financial health of the business. Team Role:
Work collaboratively with the Finance Team and RSK Group Finance to deliver accurate, timely financial reporting to the Executive Team and Group in line with standard processes and timetables.
Manage, supervise and develop the Finance Team, ensuring appropriate resourcing and prioritisation, particularly during peak periods.
Act as a key link between the Finance Team and the Head of Finance, keeping them informed of key financial matters and emerging risks.
Provide financial support to the Marketing team, advising on the presentation and interpretation of financial data to support bids and win work.
Individual duties
Manage the monthly financial close, delivering accurate management accounts, strong balance sheet control and clear, insightful reporting in line with Group requirements.
Oversee day to day finance operations, including cash management, payment controls and escalation of complex queries, providing practical leadership and support to the Finance Team.
Work closely with Credit Control to oversee debtor management, helping to drive cash collection, resolve client issues and improve working capital through robust processes and collaboration.
Maintain oversight of payments made on behalf of client (OBOC), ensuring timely follow up, accurate reporting and appropriate year end treatment.
Apply an understanding of revenue-recognition principles to support accurate project reporting.
Oversee end to end payroll operations and associated statutory requirements, ensuring accurate processing, full compliance with HMRC and pension regulations, timely submissions and effective management of year end, auto enrolment and apprenticeship levy obligations.
Coordinate VAT compliance, including preparation, submission and reconciliation of VAT returns, providing practical guidance to the business where required.
Prepare and coordinate information required for corporation tax reporting, acting as a key point of contact for Group tax queries.
Oversee the accurate and timely submission of framework levy returns, ensuring alignment with revenue data and resolving discrepancies.
Support internal and external audit processes, helping to maintain strong financial controls, governance and audit readiness.
Contribute to annual budgeting and short term cashflow forecasting, supporting financial planning, treasury reporting and covenant requirements.
Act as a key member of the finance leadership team, deputising for the Head of Finance when required, supporting system improvements and delivering ad hoc financial analysis for senior stakeholders.
Skills And Requirements
Professionally qualified accountant (eg ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent.
Strong technical accounting skills with the ability to produce accurate and timely financial reports.
Previous experience in similar role / sector desirable.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with senior management and group finance teams.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Competence in managing audits and compliance processes.
Knowledge of
MS 365, particularly excellent knowledge of Excel.
Revenue recognition processes and accounting principles.
HMRC requirements for VAT returns and deadlines.
Cashflow forecasting and treasury requirements.
Risk management and business planning processes
