We are recruiting on behalf of a small animal practice in Buckingham for a Permanent Veterinary Surgeon to join their team. This is a full or part time for up to 20 hours per week over 2 or 3 days, along with 1 in 4 Saturday mornings. The practice provides its own overnight hospitalisation for ongoing cases but there will be no OOH work or on-call duties.

The role
12. They can offer a wide variety of case load along with case continuity
13. They can offer a mixture of both consultations and surgeries and will support areas of special interests
14. They offer 15 minute consultations
15. Flexible working and rota patterns available to accommodate a good work / life balance. EG Rota to work around the school run or holidays
16. The Vet will be responsible for providing a high standard of veterinary care and customer service.
17. The Vet will be responsible to ensuring that there is excellent communication between themselves and the team and with clients.

19. The practice are equipped with a wide range of diagnostics, laboratory and surgical and hospitalisation facilities. The are able to perform their own cardiac scan, endoscopy, laparoscopy, fracture repairs and TTAs.
20. They have a team of 6 Vets, 6 Nurses, 1 SVN and support team
21. They are continuing to grow and expand and are now in need of an additional vet

About you
29. The Vet will be competent in routine surgeries (Caesarean and pyometra) and consultations. They would be confident in sole charge work.
30. They will have ambition and motivation to improve their clinical skills and knowledge.
31. The Vet will be a team player, with good interpersonal skills and be able to establish strong working relationships.
32. The vet will have excellent communications skills and a compassionate attitude along with excellent client facing skills
33. The Vet will always maintain a high standard of clinical care and always willing to go that extra mile for patients

34. Salary: Up to £75, pro rata, commensurate to experience
