Primary Cover Supervisor – Full Time
Location: Mountain Ash, CF45
Pay: Starting at £110 (based on experience)
Are you confident working with children and passionate about supporting their development? We're working with a welcoming primary school in Mountain Ash that is looking for a Cover Supervisor to join their supportive team on a full-time basis.
Role Overview: What You’ll Be Doing
As a Cover Supervisor in a primary setting, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring consistency and a positive learning experience during teacher absences. Your responsibilities will include:
* Supervising and delivering pre-planned lessons across Key Stage 1 and/or Key Stage 2
* Encouraging a safe and engaging classroom environment
* Managing behaviour and supporting individual learning where needed
* Taking registers and following safeguarding protocols
* Building strong, positive relationships with pupils and school staff
What We’re Looking For
This role is ideal for individuals who:
* Have experience working with children, ideally within a primary school
* Are confident, flexible, and enthusiastic
* Possess strong communication and behaviour management skills
* Understand the UK primary curriculum (desirable but not essential)
* Are committed to creating a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment
Requirements

* Education Workforce Council (EWC) registration
* Two professional references covering the past two years
