Plus benefits, including a Generous Occupational Pension Scheme About the role The role of Welcome Desk Officer is based at the forefront of the business in a busy environment. You will be the first point of contact for visitors to the college as well as being an important point of contact for students and staff. You will be the first point of contact, delivering a warm and professional welcome across multiple channels - in person, via email, through our online chat service, and over the phone. You will answer queries and triage people to the appropriate service when necessary. You will also carry out administrative tasks, collaborating with colleagues across departments to ensure a smooth, efficient, and positive experience for all staff, students and visitors. Note re TTO contracts/working hours: This post is 41 weeks per year term time only* (summer 4 weeks continuous leave between July and August dates determined yearly but will roughly be 3rd week in July to end of 2nd week in August). Working hours are 8:30am-5:00pm Monday to Thursday and 8:30am-4:30pm on Friday with a one hour lunch break usually between 11:30am-12:30pm. This role is based on-site. About the Person Experience: You will have extensive, proven experience delivering excellent customer service ideally in a large, complex, front facing environment. Qualifications: You will hold Level 2 English and Maths such as GCSE at a grade C/4 or above or equivalent. Relevant work experience for those who do not meet this requirement will be considered. Skills: You will thrive in a busy environment, be organised, prioritise effectively and remain positive and professional in pressured situations. You will be competent in using IT applications such as Microsoft Outlook, Excel. You will ideally have experience using database systems. Attributes: The post holder is required to be resilient, approachable, calm, patient and professional in demeaner with a passion for customer service and working with others.
