Operator Permanent £44k - £52k plus bonus shift allowance pension holidays
This is a hands-on technical role that offers variety, responsibility, and the chance to make a real impact.
* Asset Health – Assess and report on the condition of E&I equipment and systems.
* Maintenance & Repairs – Carry out planned and reactive maintenance to ensure system reliability.
* Timely Delivery – Complete work efficiently and in line with statutory requirements..
* Contractor Oversight – Supervise third-party work to ensure safety and quality standards.
* Team Collaboration – Work closely with colleagues across Cadent to support operational excellence.
What you’ll bring:
You’re a skilled technician with a strong background in electrical and instrumentation systems or a skilled electrician wanting to progress and develop further skills in instrumentation systems. You also have a commitment to safety and quality.
* Experience – Proven experience in an Electrical / Instrumentation / GQ&M environment, including inspection and testing of systems on gas pressure reduction sites.
* Technical Knowledge – Familiarity with E&I technical standards, maintenance procedures, and relevant codes of practice.
* Legislation Awareness – Understanding of BS7671, EAWR, and the Health and Safety at Work Act.
* Qualifications –
* 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671)
* City & Guilds 2394/95 or BTEC or equivalent in Instrumentation and Controls
* Approved apprenticeship
* Certifications – COMPEX EX01–04 preferred but not essential.
* Team Player – Able to work independently and collaboratively with a proactive approach.
Candidate must be eligible to work in the UK and hold a driving license .
