Forrest Recruitment are working with an award-winning company who have a brilliant reputation in their field. They are seeking an experienced Contract Manager with construction experience to join their team. The role involves visiting client sites, conducting surveys, taking photographs, preparing reports, speaking to insurance companies and overseeing the work to completion. This is very busy role with managing up to 6 different jobs a week, your duties will include:
1. Identifying client’s needs
2. Implementing work processes (health & safety) to the client’s requirements
3. Liaising effectively and regularly with the client and the loss adjuster at all times ensuring that all office files are up to date
4. Establishing and maintaining the trust and support of customers
5. Communicating effectively and assertively with customers, contractors, site operatives and colleagues
6. Minimising conflict by showing integrity and fairness in decision making
7. Assigning staff to jobs
8. Allocating apprentices correctly to give an opportunity to be mentored continuously in conjunction with the Managing Director.
9. Dealing with poor team performance, disciplinary and grievance issues in conjunction with the Managing Director
10. Agreeing and working to service level agreements as required by all clients
11. Keeping accurate records to maintain high standards
12. Submitting final accounts promptly and efficiently
13. Chasing, where necessary, any outstanding debt applicable to your specific works
14. Prioritising objectives and scheduling work to make best use of time and resources
15. Ensuring weekly meetings to maintain continuity of works.
16. Estimating time required for activities that is realistic and allows for unforeseen circumstances
17. Minimising unhelpful interruptions to and digressions from planned work
18. Regularly reviewing progress and re-scheduling in order to meet planned objectives
Working hours:
19. Monday to Friday
20. 40 hours a week
To be successful for this role you will be an experienced Construction Contract Manager, ideally with subsidence knowledge. Qualification would be an advantage (MCIOB or RICS) but not essential.
