Job Title: CNC Operator (Turning - FANUC)

Hours: 6am - 2pm Mon - Fri 37.5 per week
Salary: £16.50 - £17 per hour (negotiable depending on experience)

We are currently seeking an experienced CNC Operator to join a well-established and forward-thinking manufacturing business based in Leeds. Specialising in material handling components, the company is known globally for its innovation and high standards in engineering excellence. With decades of experience and a reputation for quality, they supply cutting-edge products used across a variety of industrial sectors.
This role is ideally suited for a CNC Operator with a strong background in turning operations, particularly using FANUC-controlled lathes. The position involves the production of precision-turned hubs critical to high-performance mechanical systems. A structured handover and training period will be available from the current operator until December, offering valuable support and continuity.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate, set, and program CNC lathes with FANUC controls
Manufacture high-precision components (primarily hubs) to exacting specifications
Conduct in-process and final quality checks to ensure tolerance compliance
Read and interpret technical drawings and work independently to tight tolerances
Maintain a safe, clean, and efficient work environment Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of CNC machining experience
Proficiency in programming FANUC-controlled lathes preferred (not just setting/operating)
Previous experience as a CNC Operator in a manufacturing environment
Strong understanding of turning operations and quality control procedures
