Your new company: Based in the Clacton site you will be joining a large manufacturing business with multiple manufacturing sites across Europe and the US specialising in the manufacture of alternative synthetic paper and film products. Due to a gap in the site, the business is now seeking an experienced Manufacturing & Engineering Operations manager to join their senior leadership team. This hire will be responsible for the overall day-day manufacturing operations, whilst working with the engineering team to help improve safety, quality and running efficiency. Key Responsibilities & Duties: Plan, Lead and manage day-day manufacturing operations meeting production, quality, engineering & safety targets Collaborate with multiple areas of the business including Quality, Supply chain HSE and more to roadmap improvement plans aligned to business objectives Create and monitor Key performance indicators-Working to continuous improvement methods Manage and mentor manufacturing, engineering and supporting technical staff Work with finance teams to develop and manage department budgets working to capital expenditure plans. Drive a continuous mindset culture throughout the business This is just a summary of duties, and other responsibilities will be required. Skills & Experience required: Batchelors degree in Engineering, Manufacturing or similar industry Multiple years of experience in manufacturing and/or engineering management and operations role(s) Proven experience leading a production or engineering team with multiple direct reports Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills Ability to manage tasks and duties effectively.
