Residential Deputy Manager - Children's EBD Home (Handsworth, Birmingham) Location: Handsworth, Birmingham Salary: £29,991 - £34,791 per annum (depending on experience) Sleeps: £50 per sleep Contract: Full-time, permanent Shift Pattern: Mixture of shift work and 1-2 admin days per week Howard Finley Care is delighted to be working on behalf of our client to recruit an experienced and motivated Residential Deputy Manager for a children's residential home in Handsworth, Birmingham, supporting young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD). This is an excellent opportunity for a confident senior practitioner looking to step into a Deputy Manager role, or for an experienced Deputy seeking a new challenge within a supportive and well-structured service. You will play a key role in supporting the Registered Manager, leading staff teams, and ensuring high-quality, child-centred care is delivered at all times. Key Responsibilities: Support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of the home Provide leadership, guidance, and supervision to staff teams Act as a role model in delivering consistent, high-quality care to young people Ensure safeguarding practices, care planning, and risk management are robust and compliant Support with staff development, rotas, audits, and administrative duties Deputise for the Registered Manager when required Requirements: Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Team Leader in a children's residential home or currently working as a Deputy Manager - essential Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare - essential Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management - preferred but not essential Willingness to work a combination of shifts, admin days, and sleep-ins If you're a committed and experienced residential childcare professional looking to progress your career in leadership, we'd love to hear from you.
