Overview
Our Water Asset Design team works primarily in the municipal water sector as well as the non regulated (industrial / international) sector. We deliver wastewater treatment, water treatment, sewerage, and water network schemes, and support related industries. Our projects range from routine network maintenance to some of the largest water projects in the UK. The team is distributed across the UK and supported by an outsourced team in India. We are recruiting a Project Manager to join the Water team based in London to lead the delivery of projects involving multidisciplinary teams from optioneering through delivery and handover to the Client.
Responsibilities
* Plan, execute, monitor and control a defined project or work packages within major projects or programmes to meet client objectives.
* Lead, guide and develop multi-disciplinary project teams; champion high-quality delivery and a focus on health and safety.
* Manage project proposals including determining requirements, scope, resources, programme and cost estimates (budgets).
* Own the P&L with commercial and financial accountability including revenue, margin, overheads, budget and forecast, risk and opportunity reviews, cost controls, accounts payable/billing and cash collection.
* Develop project management documentation (plans, estimates, risk registers, schedules, stakeholder registers, organisation charts) to deliver objectives.
* Monitor and control schedule, manhours, budgets, forecasts and expenditure.
* Ensure effective contract management including contract administration and change management.
* Manage work performed by project team members, ensuring outputs meet requirements.
* Manage deliverables, information and records; communicate project information to the team and client.
* Anticipate issues and address potential conflicts impacting delivery.
* Lead multi-disciplinary teams including technical staff and suppliers; promote continuous improvement and capture lessons learned.
What We Will Be Looking For You To Demonstrate
* Proven experience in delivering infrastructure projects; exposure to regulated water industry and/or non-regulated water projects is advantageous but not essential.
* Working knowledge or accreditation in NEC contracts with the necessary technical and practical skills to administer NEC contracts.
* Membership of professional institutions (APM, PMI, MICE, etc.).
* Proficiency with project management tools and software.
* Competence in stakeholder management, risk, planning/scheduling, and commercial management.
