Sodexo is a global leader in services that improve Quality of Life. We're looking for an experienced Logistic Support Services Manager at Merville Barracks to oversee service delivery within our Logistics Support Unit, ensuring excellent performance, client satisfaction, and budgetary control.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan, organize, and manage the delivery of all services within the Logistics Support Unit, ensuring service standards outlined in SLAs, KPIs, and contractual terms are met, maintained, and improved.
* Ensure effective delivery of contracted outputs through Sodexo and MOD IT systems.
* Contribute to service growth to meet client and commercial expectations while maintaining strict budgetary control.
* Manage performance of direct reports, including PDRs, staff absence, and performance issues.
* Oversee health and safety management of building D11, ensuring MOD compliance and promoting a "Zero Harm" culture.
* Act as Subject Matter Expert for accounting systems (Planet, PFI, Kronos) and manage daily operational tasks.
* Maintain strong relationships with clients and customers.
* Coordinate with other department managers for smooth service delivery.
* Manage budgets and monitor performance targets, including gross margin and audits.
* Provide holiday/weekend cover as duty manager and support team learning and development.
Candidate Profile
Essential Skills and Experience:
* Management experience in logistics, supply management, or warehouse distribution.
* Experience in warehouse environment management or FM service industry.
* Leadership and people management skills, including HR procedures.
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Knowledge of Health, Safety, and Welfare management.
* Decision-making ability and initiative.
* Proficiency in MS Office.
* Attention to detail and standards adherence.
* Analytical problem-solving skills.
Desirable:
* Previous management experience in similar roles.
* Health and Safety qualification (IOSH managing safely).
* Technical skills in contract administration and transport (Soft FM).
* Experience managing client relationships within contracts.
* Proven team leadership and development skills.
