About Our Client
My client is a growing SME with significant growth plans on the horizon. They are recruiting for a Commercial Finance Manager who can establish processes to support strategic decision-making.
Job Description
1. Manage the company's financial planning processes, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives
2. Create annual budgets, long-term forecasts, and multi-year financial models
3. Provide financial insights to support business growth, profitability, and operational efficiency
4. Analyse financial performance, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities
5. Prepare and deliver detailed management reports, including variance analysis, KPIs, and dashboard metrics
6. Collaborate with business units to optimise financial outcomes and drive accountability
7. Serve as a key advisor to senior leadership, providing financial guidance for strategic initiatives and decision-making
8. Evaluate investment opportunities, cost-saving initiatives, and potential M&A activities
9. Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure financial implications are considered in business strategies
10. Promote collaboration and knowledge-sharing within the team and across departments
11. Ensure continuous improvement of FP&A tools, processes, and methodologies
12. Enhance financial planning systems and tools to streamline processes and improve accuracy
13. Leverage business intelligence and analytics platforms to deliver real-time insights
14. Drive automation initiatives to improve efficiency and scalability
15. Monitor and manage financial risks
The Successful Applicant
1. Demonstrable experience in financial planning and analysis or corporate finance
2. Able to operate effectively in both SME / high growth environments
3. Advanced proficiency in financial modelling, forecasting, and data analytics
4. Strong knowledge of FP&A tools and ERP systems
5. Expertise in Excel, PowerPoint, and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI)
6. Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities
7. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders
8. Utilities / Financial Services / Renewable energy sector awareness is desirable but not essential
