Forrest Recruitment are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Administrator to join our professional client in Burscough who are specialist in their field. The ideal candidate will have strong administrative skills and be proficient in various software systems. This role is essential for ensuring the smooth operation within the office, providing clerical support to the office team, external suppliers and subcontractors.
Responsibilities:
1. Undertaking a full range of administrative duties to ensure an efficient service is delivered to the office and procurement team.
2. Arranging and attending team meetings/conferences as required, to take minutes
3. Performing ad hoc confidential paperwork
4. Coordinating and managing the paperwork
5. Maintaining accurate and secure paper based/electronic filing systems
6. Ensuring compliance with business strategy and procedures
7. Developing an in-depth knowledge of the business management system
8. Assisting in managing daily requests by other staff
9. Working closely with the whole process team including procurement, operations, finance, and yard to ensure orders are processed correctly and on time for effective project delivery
10. Providing support to the procurement team in obtaining quotes and placing orders both with internal and external suppliers
11. Assist the Coordinator with placing subcontract and material orders
12. Working with the Coordinator to ensure that the KPI’s are kept up to date and managed
Working hours:
13. Monday to Friday (8:30am – 5:30pm)
14. Friday (8:30am – 3pm)
The successful candidate will have a strong administration background and experience of working in a busy environment. You will have good organisation skills and be able to communicate at all different levels. Previous experience of working in a purchasing department would be an advantage.
