We’re looking for a Managing Quantity Surveyor to join our regional construction team based in Southampton. Join us as a Managing Quantity Surveyor and take the lead on exciting public and private sector construction projects. You’ll play a pivotal role in providing commercial guidance, ensuring compliance, and supporting our talented project teams to achieve successful outcomes.
What will you be responsible for?
* Providing financial feasibility advice during the early stages of projects.
* Assessing sub‑contractor returns and awarding work packages.
* Monitoring expenditure against budgets through Value Cost Reconciliation Reports.
* Leading and developing your team, managing workloads and performance.
* Collating and reviewing commercial information to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Qualifications
* You have experience working on large two-stage bids.
* You’ve worked within a Tier 1 main contracting environment.
* You’re comfortable building relationships with clients, sub‑contractors and internal stakeholders.
* You enjoy mentoring and supporting junior team members.
* You have strong commercial awareness and attention to detail.
