Job Title: Technical Support Graduate
Location: Tamworth
Hours of Work: Monday-Friday (37.5 hrs per week)
Reports to: Dave Osborne – Technical Manager
Job Purpose:
Assist the Technical Manager and the broader technical team by providing comprehensive support. This multifaceted role requires collaboration across production, quality control, sales, and marketing departments, facilitating professional development opportunities across diverse technical disciplines.
Key Accountabilities:
1. Collection and compilation of evidence for projects, including new product development and value-added solutions for new build and specification markets.
2. Development of technical documentation, including standards, updates to Building Regulations, new products, and emerging market trends.
3. Design and implementation of training programs and delivery methodologies.
4. Analysis of quality-related issues to identify root causes and deliver corrective and preventive actions.
5. Generation of innovative ideas through alternative working methods and or manufacturing processes.
Key Experiences and Skills Required:
6. Logical research methodologies and data analysis techniques.
7. Proficient in generating clear, comprehensive reports in both verbal and written formats.
8. Strong presentation capabilities.
9. Positive understanding of environmental sustainability initiatives.
10. Engagement in quality assurance and quality control processes to drive improvements.
11. Prior involvement in evidence-based improvement initiatives.
Desirables Skills, Qualifications and Experience Required:
12. Good understanding of Microsoft packages.
13. Manufacturing/engineering or other technical/science-based degree.
14. Curious, with a positive approach to self-learning across technical industry sectors.
15. Willingness to participate in industry groups and forums and report observations and findings.
