Community First Aider (South & West Yorkshire)
Volunteering with St John Ambulance strengthens communities. From youth support and education to wellbeing, events, and fundraising; your time makes a real impact.
At St John Ambulance, we aim to develop our volunteering offer and become an even more integral part of our communities through delivering community first aid and education.
We seek individuals passionate about helping others, caring about their communities, and eager to make a difference by sharing your first aid skills and knowledge. As a Community First Aider, you’ll deliver first aid at local events and provide education to the public, helping to grow the ripple effect of First Aid.
By supporting community partnerships, you will help expand our membership and fundraising efforts and promote the message that First Aid Saves Lives.
Volunteering as a Community First Aider offers a sense of satisfaction and pride in delivering an essential service. It benefits you, your community, and the nation, requiring only a small time commitment.
We will provide you with a comprehensive induction and the necessary training for your role. You will also be supported throughout your volunteering experience. Details about our volunteer roles are included in the role descriptions, along with our volunteer charter outlining mutual expectations.
We plan to hold a volunteering selection session during the week of 1st September 2025.
If selected, you will need to attend induction and training sessions, including a First Aid course scheduled for 18/19 October 2025.
The closing date for applications is 29/08/2025.
