We have an opportunity to join our Early Year, Education & Social Care team as an Administrative Assistant.

As an Administrative Assistant in the Education and Social Care department, your primary responsibility will be to provide and facilitate efficient and effective administrative operations and essential support to the areas within the department. The role directly contributes to the efficient functioning of the department, working towards the organisational goals.

You will work closely with teams across the Education and Social Care department to manage administrative tasks, streamline operations, and provide comprehensive support. You will also monitor student attendance and contact students and parents where appropriate.

This is a full-time role working 37 hours per week.


Responsibilities include:

1. Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Education and Social Care Department, including monitoring student attendance.
2. Respond promptly to all incoming inquiries.
3. Communicate effectively with students and parents.
4. Maintain and organise documents, records, and relevant databases, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and accessibility of information.
5. Manage office supplies, equipment, and facilities.
6. Act as liaison between college departments for administrative tasks.
7. Ensure all processes and procedures are followed.
8. Communicate effectively with external stakeholders and provide accurate information.
9. Liaise with internal stakeholders, including academic staff, to provide accurate information for Education and Social Care activities.
10. Maintain confidential data and manage paper and electronic documentation effectively.
11. Input data, prepare reports, and perform administrative tasks with high accuracy.
12. Handle administrative duties related to meetings.
13. Work independently, prioritise workload, and make decisions within established practices, referring only non-routine problems to other teams.
