YUNO Sexual Health is looking to appoint a motivated and kind Senior Health Care Support Worker to join our team. Great communication and interpersonal skills are essential, and applicants should be able to demonstrate forward‑thinking and a passion for delivering high‑standard care. Previous sexual health experience is desirable, but not essential. You will be expected to be a responsive and conscientious professional capable of working as part of the multidisciplinary team (MDT).
Responsibilities
- Chaperone patients during intimate procedures
- Perform venepuncture and collect blood samples
- Process patient samples and conduct basic microscopy, including slide preparation and reading
- Carry out clinical duties with minimal supervision, such as measuring blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration, and testing urine samples, including pregnancy testing
- Provide assistance to the nursing team and wider MDT as required
- Maintain patient records and documentation in accordance with protocols
Work Schedule
- Monday: 8:30 – 17:30 (8.5 hrs)
- Thursday: 9:30 – 19:30 (9.5 hrs)
- Friday: 8:30 – 17:30 (8.5 hrs)
- Saturday: 9:00 – 13:00 (4 hrs) – one in four shifts at the Bristol service
Qualifications & Experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Forward‑thinking attitude and passion for high‑standard care delivery
- Experience in sexual health services desirable but not mandatory
- Ability to work independently and as part of an MDT
