Report in a timely manner any non-compliances to the relevant person • Identify and confirm fenestration installation requirements and components • Interpret the appropriate work plan for the job, taking into account factors such as environmental, structural, contractual and specification • Locate, handle, store, load, transport and position fenestration materials and components safely • Prepare the site, plant, equipment and access ready for installation • Remove existing fenestration, understanding what action should be taken or who to report situations to if problems arise • Take steps to ensure structural stability using structural supports • Prepare the apertures, appropriate to the property • Fix fenestration units in place • Install glass units, infill panels and hardware • Make good and apply internal & external finishes • Maintain a clean and tidy work area throughout and upon completion of the works • Conduct interim and final inspections of the work and work area • Demonstrate the product and handover installation paperwork What you could go on to do You can go on to become a skilled trades man in one specific area of construction or become a highly skilled multi trades man with the knowledge and skills to carry out and manage full building and renovation projects How you will be supported Full training and support will be provided by our expert training and assessment staff at The Growth Company.
