We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Band 6 Locum Dietitian to join our team at Wrexham Maelor Hospital in Wales. This full-time role, initially for three months, offers an exciting opportunity to work on inpatient wards and support patients post-discharge. Responsibilities:
As a Band 6 Locum Dietitian you will be responsible for providing dietetic services on inpatient wards, including conducting post-discharge phone calls to review patients’ nutritional status and putting management plans in place. This will involve determining the need for ongoing dietetic input in the community or deciding if the patient can be discharged. Your caseload may include approximately 2.5 to 3 days of phone calls and associated paperwork each week. Additionally, there may be a small need for outpatient clinic phone call cover, which would require about half a day per clinic along with the necessary administrative tasks. You will work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated and effective care.
Qualifications and Experiences:
* Relevant experience in dietetics, particularly in an inpatient setting.
* Strong clinical assessment and treatment skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Relevant professional qualifications and registration.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
