The Role
The successful candidate will play a key part in the finance function, focusing on cash and accounts receivable responsibilities. You will be confident using Excel and ERP systems, have excellent attention to detail, and enjoy working with colleagues across departments and engaging with customers directly.
As the Cash & Accounts Receivable Assistant, you will be involved in but not restricted to the following duties:
Cash & Banking
Maintain daily cashbooks and post transactions
Perform daily and month-end bank reconciliations
Allocate payments accurately to sales and purchase invoices
Update currency exchange rates monthly
Accounts Receivable
Raise sales and service invoices and credit memos
Manage invoice registers and customer portals
Monitor and respond to queries from the accounts receivable mailbox
Send customer statements and chase overdue invoices
Build and maintain professional relationships with customers
General Finance Administration
Liaise with internal departments to resolve issues
Handle incoming calls and queries from customers
Support the wider finance team with ad hoc tasks
Take ownership of specific balance sheet reconciliations
To be considered for this opportunity, you must have the following:
Intermediate Excel skills
Proficient IT abilities and experience with ERP systems
Strong communication and organisational skills
A proactive and detail-oriented approach
Comfortable working both independently and within a team
