 
        
        The Social Responsibility & Equality, Diversity, Inclusion and Accessibility (SR & EDIA) Team in the Faculty of Science and Engineering is seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated Engagement Project Officer to coordinate and deliver high-quality outreach and engagement projects, contributing to the Engagement strand of our Social Responsibility strategy.
The Engagement Project Officer will play a key role in delivering an EPSRC-funded project supporting young people (aged 1418) into AI-related study and careers. This includes supporting the development of a hybrid online/in-person work experience offer with external partners, running on-campus events for local schools and colleges, and providing project management to ensure activities are delivered on schedule and within budget. You will work closely with the Engagement Manager, the Associate Dean for Engagement, and a range of internal and external stakeholders.
We are looking for someone with experience in delivering events for schools or public audiences, strong project management skills, and a demonstrable commitment to equality, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility.
While this role is for 6 months in the first instance, there is the potential for extension subject to further external funding.
Interviews will be held Friday 28th November.
Key responsibilities include:
 * Project management of an externally funded AI skills outreach programme and other engagement projects.
 * Building and maintaining effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including acting as the point of contact for partner organisations.
 * Leading the planning, organisation, and coordination of project-related events for young people, including all logistics and supervision.
 * Monitoring, evaluating, and reporting on projects and activities.
