Role Outline
Can you perform the surgery needed to keep leading edge humanoid robots alive?
Engineered Arts is looking for an assembly and maintenance technician to work on innovative humanoid robot designs, focusing on lab testing for locomotion and manipulation.
With a state-of-the-art facility, Engineered Arts produces most parts in-house, utilizing 3, 5, and 7-axis machine tools, large-scale SLA printing, and laser welding.
Working with the design and controls team as they iterate rapidly through design updates, your mission is to keep prototype robots functional and up to date.
This hands-on role requires careful assembly and knowledge of electro-mechanical systems, taking designs from a kit of parts to completion.
Main Responsibilities
* Mechanical assembly of robotics systems
* Electrical wiring of robotics systems
* Design and assembly of test rigs to support the R&D team
* Careful assembly of challenging mechanical designs
* Investigation and resolution of mechanical problems
Qualifications, Knowledge, Key Skills, and Experience
* Proven experience with mechanical and electronics assembly
* Experience with hand tools, power tools, and manual machine tools
* Good soldering skills on large conductors and surface-mount PCB components
* Experience with 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks or Inventor
* Experience with high-power lithium battery systems
* PCB rework down to 0201 and BGA level
