We have an exciting opportunity for a SMS Non - Medical Prescriber to join our Substance Misuse team at HMP Lindholme, a Category C male adult prison based in Doncaster, with operational capacity of around 900. Working as part of a large team who work across all areas of substance misuse so lots of support and interaction. Training and development opportunities available including ACP training or managerial, parking and on-site gym. Hours 18.75 hours working Monday to Friday with flexibility on what days worked. Flexible starting times, between 7.30am-9am. No weekend work.
Responsibilities:
* Undertakes Clinical Nursing Practice at an advanced level using expert knowledge and clinical skills to deliver care to patients
* Provide expert professional advice to patients, carers and colleagues and ensure the maintenance of clinical excellence.
* Provide treatment as required, including prescribing medication, within their sphere of competence.
* Carry out comprehensive assessments of patients looked after.
* Provide advice/support in relation to crisis situations, conditions, and treatment plans, based on medical and treatment history.
* Carry out a clinical review with the patient and update care plans accordingly

Requirements:
* Registered professional with current active registration (NMC, GPHC, HCPC)
* BSc or equivalent qualification
* Experience in Substance Misuse prescribing
* Non-medical prescribing qualification
* Understanding and knowledge of policy developments related to the delivery of substance misuse services including, Clinical Governance, Quality & Outcomes Framework
* Understanding of evidence based practice
