Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)? We are seeking dedicated, compassionate, and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistants to join a welcoming and supportive specialist school and college in Chelmsford, Essex.
Responsibilities
* Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with SEND
* Assist with the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs)
* Support students with communication, sensory, behavioural and physical needs
* Foster a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment
* Work collaboratively with teaching and pastoral staff to meet pupils' needs
* Encourage independence and build students' confidence and social skills
About You
* Experience of working with children or young adults with SEND is desirable but not essential
* A calm, patient, and empathetic approach
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team
* Willingness to learn and engage in professional development
* Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning, or equivalent) are an advantage but not essential
