Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with additional needs? We are seeking a Behavioural Support Worker to join a weing primary school in BD2, Bradford. This is a rewarding opportunity to work 1:1 with a pupil who has severe behavioural needs, helping them to access learning and thrive in a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a pupil with significant behavioural challenges.
2. Implement strategies to manage behaviour and promote positive engagement.
3. Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to follow tailored support plans.
4. Build strong, trusting relationships to encourage progress and emotional regulation.
Requirements:
5. Previous experience supporting children with severe behavioural needs (essential) – this does not need to be in a classroom setting; transferable experience from other environments is wee.
6. Resilience, patience, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
7. Strongmunication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
8. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
