Role Overview
As an Asset Data Analyst, you’ll play a key role in maintaining and optimising our asset data systems, ensuring data accuracy, accessibility, and compliance with operational needs and regulatory standards. Working closely with the Asset Data and Systems Manager and the Asset Data and Information Specialist, you’ll support the development of our asset data library, contribute to data structure improvements, and align analytics with standards such as DHS and HHSRS. Your work involves analysing and reporting asset data to support decision-making, resource allocation, and asset strategy, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure data processes meet organisational and compliance goals.
Key Responsibilities
* Support configuration, maintenance, and monitoring of asset data systems to meet organisational needs
* Assist in system upgrades, integrations, and migrations for improved functionality
* Maintain an accurate asset data library with high standards of data integrity and documentation
* Develop analytics tools to generate insights supporting asset management strategies
* Produce reports aligned with DHS, HHSRS, and other regulatory requirements
* Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks and internal policies, recommending improvements
* Collaborate with departments like Finance, IT, Housing Services, and Development to align data needs
* Engage with external stakeholders such as customers, authorities, auditors, and regulators to support data quality and transparency
* Foster effective cross-functional relationships and contribute to team objectives
* Represent the department positively with external contacts, upholding values and customer service standards
* Promote compliance with health & safety, equality, diversity, and organisational policies
More About You
* Degree or relevant experience in data management or related field
* Basic understanding of asset management software, databases, and frameworks
* Proficiency in data analytics tools like Power BI or Tableau
* Desirable: Experience with asset management systems, cloud/on-premises data systems
* Strong skills in data validation, cleansing, and transformation
* Familiarity with compliance standards and regulatory requirements
* Understanding of DHS and HHSRS frameworks
* Good communication skills for internal and external collaboration
* Ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
* Experience with system upgrades, migrations, or integrations (desirable)
* Attention to detail for large datasets and reporting (desirable)
* Ability to identify and resolve risks/issues in data systems (desirable)
