Who are we?
St. John's is a non-maintained specialist provision working with autistic people, many with learning disabilities and co-occurring conditions like epilepsy, impairments, or mental health needs. We support learners with profiles such as PDA. Our team includes support workers, therapists, nurses, and more, supporting a holistic development approach.
Each learner's curriculum is shaped by their strengths, interests, and challenges. St. John's has Autism Accreditation from the NAS, focusing on:
* Social communication and interaction
* Self-reliance and problem-solving
* Sensory development
What are we looking for?
Experience is desirable but not essential. Our team has trained many new support workers. If you have passion, desire to learn, and want to empower others, you already have the foundation of an excellent support worker. A driver’s license is not required, as support in community access is part of the role.
