Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Assistant to support our technical and sales teams. The ideal candidate will possess a basic understanding of engineering, enjoy hands-on work, and demonstrate good communication skills. The Assistant will be instrumental in ensuring smooth operations, assisting with assembly, manufacturing, and order despatch.
Duties
* Assist with the assembly of components using hand tools and power tools, following schematics and technical drawings.
* Produce and manage workshop stock items.
* Perform heavy lifting when required to move materials or equipment safely.
* Forklift truck license would be an advantage. Training given to the correct candidate.
* Follow safety protocols during all operations to ensure a secure working environment.
* Maintain a clean and organised workspace, ensuring tools and materials are stored correctly after use.
Experience
* Prior experience with technical drawings, assembly work and/or warehouse management is highly desirable.
* Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and basic workshop procedures is preferred.
* Experience in customer service roles is a plus, demonstrating strong communication skills.
* Physical ability to perform medium to heavy lifting safely is essential.
* Previous exposure to working with basic technical drawings will be beneficial. Applicants should be organised, proactive, and committed to maintaining high standards of safety and quality in all tasks undertaken.
