Smile Education are excited to be supporting a Primary School in Wednesbury who are seeking a newly qualified SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is the perfect opportunity for someone who has gained experience supporting children with SEND during their training and is now ready to take the next step into their first paid role within education.
About the Role
Work closely with teaching staff to support pupils with SEND needs in the classroom
Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support to help children access the curriculum
Support pupils with SEMH, ASD, ADHD or sensory needs
Help create a positive, inclusive learning environment where every child feels supported
Follow structured plans and contribute to engaging learning activitiesThis is an excellent opportunity for a new SEN Teaching Assistant to develop their skills and begin their career in a supportive and welcoming school environment.
The ideal candidate will:
Hold a minimum Level 2 qualification in Education or Childcare
Have recent experience supporting children with SEND (through placements, training, or voluntary work)
Be able to provide a minimum of 2 references.
Hold an Enhanced DBS (or be willing to apply for one through Smile Education)
